Cheer Tumbling
Tumbling classes are offered for beginning through advanced level students. Placement and promotion are based on performer skill level and readiness.
Level 1 & Level 1.5
Students learn and perfect the basics of body control, in relation to basic and beginner tumbling skills. Level 1 class skills include rolls, handstands, cartwheels, and intorduction to front and back walkovers. Level 1.5 continues to mastery of walkovers and roundoffs, and introduction to back handsprings. In addition, students are taught basic body control drills and strength and conditioning for beginning level tumbling.
Level 2
Students are required to have an unassisted back handspring to be enrolled in this class. Students will learn to connect standing back handsprings and round-off back handsprings. Students will be introduced to flipping and aerial skills in this level.
Level 3
Students are required to have a round-off back handspring back tuck without assistance to be enrolled in this class. Students at this level will begin incorporating standing skills as well. Advanced Level 3 students will be introduced to layout skills.
Level 4/5
Students are required to have a round-off back handspring layout, without assistance to be enrolled in this class. Students will perfect layouts, standing tumbling and be introduced to the beginning phases of twisting skills and other USASF approved tumbling.
Back Handspring (BHS) Bootcamp
BHS Bootcamp is for the student who has mastered the Level 1 beginner class. This class is designed to focus only on back handsprings and incorporates necessary body control and strengthening drills.
This class is designed for the student who has progressed through the previous level classes. Students are introduced to pre-competitive and competitive level skills in preparation for possible competitive team placement.
