As we naviagate thorugh learning to live with the presence of COVID-19, Team OC has implemented comprehensive guidelines for a phased approach to reopening and returning to activity. Because we cannot be open to the public and also prevent 100% of all germs from spreading, each phase will require different levels of precaution and risk management. At this time, the official guidance for indoor-youth sports and activity programs continues to evolve. Our plan includes recommendations and guidelines from the CDC, California Department of Public Health, Orange County Healthcare Agency, International Association of Child Development Programs, USA Gymnastics, and the Dance Studio Owners Association as well as guidance from top industry leaders.
We are confident the protocols we have established will be met in accordance with local, state and federal recommendations to slow the spread of COVID-19 to promote a safer, healthier environment for all who enter our facility. Regardless of what phase we are in, maintaining the safest possible environment for all is going to take work and cooperation from the entire Team OC community - our staff, students and member families. We need every person to do their part to practice good hand hygiene, adhere to guidelines and be patient with our staff and each other. While this is a stressful, unprecedented and challenging time for all of us, it is important to remember we all share the same goal: the safest possible return to activity for your children.
Dates for the opening of each phase outlined below will be posted on this page. Information and dates are subject to change.
#1 Will my child be safe? Student saftey is our top priority! We are taking mutiple precautions to ensure student safety with new health, safety and enhanced cleaning protocols specific to disease control in addition to implementing "stay safe, stay well" formats in our classes.
#2 Can I watch my child during their class/practice times and can I have my other children with me? To limit exposure during our early phases of reopening, the number of parents/caregivers allowed in the facility to watch is one (1) per enrolled student. Only siblings who are concurrently enrolled and participating in the same class hour will be permitted. Not to worry, we see this as temporary and anticipate it will change in later phases.
#3 How many students will be in my child's class? Class ratios vary by age and level, however with the a "stay safe, stay well' format to our lessons, class sizes will be smaller than previously to allow for greater social distancing.
